SNP virtual conference set to take place in November
The SNP Autumn conference is set to take place online in November.
The exact date is yet to be confirmed but there has been some suggestion it could be tied to St Andrews Day on 30 November.
The virtual conference will be the first national gathering of SNP members since last October, as the planned conference in June in Aviemore was cancelled due to COVID-19.
An SNP spokesman said: “Our ambition is to deliver a large-scale virtual event as close as possible to SNP conference in normal times. We are very confident that we'll be able to surpass the recent efforts of other parties.
“A great deal of work has gone on behind the scenes with e-conference providers and software developers across the globe, and we hope to confirm details in the coming days.”
Both Labour and the Lib Dems held their own online conferences earlier this month, while the Conservatives are set to convene online this weekend.
