Queen 'comfortable' amidst health fears as Prince Charles arrives in Balmoral
Prince Charles is in Balmoral and other senior Royals are on their way amidst serious concerns about the Queen's health.
Doctors have put the monarch under medical supervision and she is described as "comfortable".
However, she did not attend a virtual meeting of the Privy Council and news of her condition was given to the new Prime Minister Liz Truss and other party leaders during a meeting in Westminster.
Prince William is understood to be making his way to his grandmother's Scottish summer residence.
Truss, who travelled to Balmoral to meet the Queen on Tuesday, said the "whole country" will be "deeply concerned": "My thoughts, and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom, are with Her Majesty the Queen and her family at this time."
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said: "All of us are feeling profoundly concerned at reports of Her Majesty' health. My thoughts and wishes are with the Queen and all of the Royal family at this time."
