Nicola Sturgeon announces Edinburgh gig
Nicola Sturgeon is to appear in an in-person event at a major Scottish venue.
The former first minister has scheduled the event for after the release of her memoir, Frankly, in August.
The special event will see Sturgeon, who will step down from the Scottish Parliament at the next election, take to the stage to reflect on her political career and look at "what lies ahead".
The date will take place in October at the 2,200-capacity Usher Hall in Edinburgh.
Sold separately, tickets for a "meet-and-greet" before the show cost £75.
Announcing the event on her Instagram page, the Glasgow Southside MSP said: "I will reflect on my career in politics, from the early days in the Scottish Parliament to leading the country through historic and often turbulent times.
"In an in-depth interview followed by an audience Q&A, I will offer personal insights into leadership, public service, and the challenges and triumphs that have shaped my journey.
"I will also share some thoughts on what lies ahead – for me, for Scotland, and for politics more broadly."
The announcement follows a recent appearance with crime writer Val McDermid at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.
However, Sturgeon is not the only former leader set to appear at the venue, with ex-PM Boris Johnson holding an event of his own in September.
