Mandy Rhodes named editor of the year at PPA Scotland awards
Holyrood was also shortlisted for ten awards across nine categories
Holyrood magazine has won prizes in two categories at the PPA Scottish Magazine Awards 2019.
Editor Mandy Rhodes was named Columnist of the Year as well as Specialist Magazines Editor of the Year.
Holyrood was shortlisted for ten awards across nine categories including writer of the year, designer of the year, event of the year, specialist magazine of the year, cover of the year, special edition of the year and young journalist of the year.
Winners were announced at a ceremony in The Hub venue on Edinburgh’s Castle Hill on 28 November.
Holyrood Editor and Managing Director Mandy Rhodes said: “I am obviously delighted and honoured to have won both Columnist of the Year and Editor of the Year but Holyrood magazine is all about team effort and very proud of the team for being shortlisted in so many categories this year.
“In political journalism we never tire of saying that we live in interesting times but a periods of calm and stability would also be welcome. However, the election on December 12th is unlikely to bring us that.”
