Local Government Committee seeks views on benchmarking
The Scottish Parliament’s Local Government and Regeneration Committee is to take evidence from Improvement Service and Solace Scotland on progress towards a local government benchmarking framework.
In addition, the committee is inviting feedback on three questions.
How often do you use the Local Government Benchmarking Framework?
In what ways do you use the framework to see how your local authority is performing?
What further data would you find helpful and what would help you to make use of the data in the framework?
Comments should be sent to lgr.committee@scottish.parliament.uk by Friday 12 February.
The Local Government Benchmarking Framework aims to increase understanding of where and why performance varies between councils.
The intention is also that it will help to identify and share good practice between councils.
The Local Government benchmarking Framework will be discussed at the meeting of the Local Government and Regeneration Committee on Wednesday 24 February.
