Liz Truss appointed as UK's new justice secretary
Liz Truss has been appointed as the UK’s justice secretary by new Prime Minister Theresa May.
Truss, who was educated at schools in Paisley and Leeds, replaces Michael Gove in the justice brief.
The appointment of Truss represents a promotion for the South West Norfolk MP, who previously served as secretary of state for environment, food and rural affairs.

Truss also previously served as a junior education minister under David Cameron.
She previously worked in the energy and telecommunications industry for 10 years as a commercial manager and economics director, and is a qualified management accountant.
Truss has talked about growing up in left-wing household and was also a member of the Liberal Democrats as a student.
