Labour MSP Richard Baker quits Holyrood early for charity job
North East MSP Richard Baker has quit parliament to take a role with charity Age Scotland.
The Labour politician, who decided not to seek re-election in May after he lost the contest to become Scottish Labour's deputy leader, to Alex Rowley, last summer, has decided to take up a new job with the charity immediately.
As a regional list MSP, Dundee councillor Lesley Brennan will take his place until May after receiving the party's nomination.

In an email sent to fellow party members Baker thanked members for support since he was elected in 2003.
"I am delighted the final leader I have served under is one of our own from the North East. I was pleased to support Kez, not only as a friend but for the great ability she brings to her role and know you will support her and the rest of the team in the months ahead," he said.
