Jo Cox memorial fund raises more than £1m for good causes
A fundraising page set up as a tribute to Jo Cox has raised more than £1m in donations as thousands of people paid their respect to the MP who died from gunshot and stab wounds.
Friends and family of the Labour politician set up the page just three days ago for well-wishers to donate to the three causes "closest to her heart".
The cash will be split between The Royal Voluntary Service, the anti-extremism group HOPE not hate, and The White Helmets, a volunteer search and rescue group in Syria

A note on the page quoted the MP’s husband, who said his wife "believed in a better world" and worked to make it a reality.
"Let's come together and give what we can to help create that better world," it said.
