Jeremy Corbyn rejects claim he snubbed Nicola Sturgeon at CND rally
Jeremy Corbyn has rejected a claim from Nicola Sturgeon that he snubbed her at a CND rally last weekend.
The First Minister had suggested Corbyn “refused to turn up” at the anti-Trident rally until she had left the event, which was held in London on Saturday.
Sturgeon made the claim during First Minister's Questions this afternoon. It came in response to Scottish Tory leader Ruth Davidson, who had asked her about the SNP policy on Trident renewal.

Davidson said: “Perhaps she has in mind Jeremy Corbyn’s new position, which is that we should build the subs, keep the jobs, but just stick the missiles in a shed somewhere. I know that the First Minister linked arms with the Labour leader last week but please tell me that she doesn’t agree with him on that as well."
Sturgeon said: “Actually I didn’t link arms because he refused to turn up until after I’d left for some unknown reason, but I’ll leave that to him to explain."
But a spokesman for Corbyn told PoliticsHome: "Jeremy was at the Yorkshire region conference speaking in the morning and then on the train to London. His own diary determined his movements."
