Experts to advise public sector organisations on cloud migration
Public Sector Cloud, organised by Holyrood Connect, aims to become an opportunity hub for public sector organisations' cloud migration.
Hosted at Dynamic Earth next week, delegates working on their organisation’s cloud strategy journey will hear from industry experts on current best practice that can assist in their next step forward.
With over 100 people expected to attend, it is hoped discussions will help build a framework for the across sector.
Returning for its sixth year, the year's event schedule features experienced figures from the sector, including the project manager for the Sottish Government’s cloud programme, Ross Lyon, who will discuss the upcoming launch of the Cloud Platform Service.
Other speakers include Shirley Cavin from women in technology and digital security specialist at Audit Scotland, Ethan Bayne.
Keynote addresses, panel discussions, masterclasses, and case study presentations are set to cover the following areas:
- The progress made within cloud technologies and what’s next for the Scottish public sector
- The skills required to transition to cloud systems
- The complexities found as cloud journeys advance
- The shifting security needs of cloud systems
- The various applications of cloud systems beyond digital data storage
By exploring these topics, experts from the sector will detail how cloud migration is a business-wide transformation rather than solely an IT change.
