Businesses set to be recognised at Scotland Excel awards
Entries are open for the biennial Scotland Excel awards which recognises public sector suppliers.
The Supplier Excellence Awards rewards those suppliers who go above and beyond to support the delivery of Scottish public services.
Established in 2008, Scotland Excel is a non-profit organisation which seeks to improve procurement across the public sector.
Holyrood Communications has once again been chosen as the delivery partner for the awards, which are free to enter.
Councillor John Shaw, onvener of Scotland Excel, said: “Scotland Excel is at the forefront of procurement for local government and we work hard to make sure public procurement supports the sustainable delivery of quality services across Scotland’s communities. Our suppliers play a vital role in this and the Supplier Excellence Awards are designed to recognise exceptional achievement.
“The awards provide an unrivalled opportunity for suppliers to gain recognition among their peers and customers. The ceremony itself is always a glittering occasion – bringing suppliers, customers and stakeholders together, to celebrate the very best practice in Scotland’s public sector supply chain.”
The eight award categories are:
Community benefits
Customer relationships
Environmental practices
Innovation
Supply chain diversity
Small business and third sector
Workforce development
Value for money
Suppliers to Scotland Excel member councils and associate members can enter the awards at https://events.holyrood.com/event/scotland-excel-supplier-excellence-awards-2023/ up until the closing date of 28 February.
The winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony and dinner at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow on 11 May.
