Alex Salmond: David Cameron will have to resign if Britain votes to leave EU
David Cameron will have to resign if Britain votes to leave the EU, Alex Salmond has said.
The former first minister resigned his post after Scotland voted to stay within the UK.
But the Prime Minister has previously pledged to stay in his role even if the UK decides to leave the EU.

However Mr Salmond told MPs that the notion Mr Cameron could stay on was “for the birds”.
He said during an EU debate: “I was the first minister who lost a referendum and then resigned the next day.
“I did that because I don’t think it is credible for a first minister or a prime minister to continue in office in these circumstances.”
