Scottish parliament committee membership

The Scottish Parliament today votes on the membership of its committees which scrutinise legislation and react to audits and other reports.

After three weeks of negotiations to decide the new structure, the system has been tweaked by new Presiding Officer Ken Macintosh so that there will be fewer committees, some with an expanded role. It is thought the Public Audit Committee will now also look at post-legislative scrutiny. 

After deliberation the political parties have suggested this make up:

 

Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee

Equal Opportunities Committee
