| 1 - Sponsoring a magazine sectionBack to top |
The following sections of the magazine are currently available to be sponsored.
Portfolio Trackers, Letters Page, Diary and Caption Competition.
These are also the highest traffic sections of the magazine.
 |
| 2 - Sponsored distributionBack to top |
Sponsored distribution reinforces your commitment to your clients and provides them with a courtesy copy of Holyrood magazine every two weeks.
Your Holyrood representative can inform you of the bulk discounts available and how your literature can be sent out with the magazine with a covering letter or a corporate statement on the address fly sheet.
 |
| 3 - Loose insertsBack to top |
The greatest benefit of using free-standing inserts is visibility.
Our readership receives hundreds of electronic and hard copies of policy documents and correspondence each week, too much for office support staff to deal with, never mind being read by the intended recipient.
The incremental cost of increasing your promotional literature print run for inclusion in Holyrood magazine will be offset quickly by the added value to your campaign.
|
| 4 - GatefoldsBack to top |
Gatefolds are visually arresting, and their physical format demands much more reader interaction, perfect for high-profile marketing campaigns.
With a wider rectangular space and a series of pages, they are a particularly effective way of delivering a flow of narrative that captures reader attention.
Gatefolds offer opportunities to influence by interpretation; they invite readers to absorb your message in a unique way.
Readers associate gatefolds with premium products and services because of the high profile impact they have.
|
| 5 - Wallcharts 2010/11Back to top |
Following the May Scottish Parliament 2011 elections, Holyrood produced a wallchart for our readers outlining the changes in the new Parliament. It was published in A1 equivalent format, on 130gsm gloss-coated paper - see below.
In June 2012 Holyrood will be publishing a Wallchart to coincide with the Scottish Unilateral Local Authority election results.
 |
| 6 - Holyrood BriefingsBack to top |
Holyrood Briefing offers an opportunity to capitalise on Holyrood magazine’s editorial skills, political intelligence and event management expertise.
They combine to provide a platform at a live morning briefing, complemented by a high profile editorial presence within a special report in the magazine.
Holyrood briefings provide an independent arena for areas of policy, research and blue-sky thinking to be explored by a selected panel of experts in front of an invited audience of key professionals, politicians and policy makers.
Targeted audience for the live briefing event
Holyrood Briefings encourage probing and incisive questioning of politicians, policy makers, researchers, relevant professional bodies and individuals to help inform future policy and direction within the Scottish Parliament.
The format of the day will be focussed on a panel which will include party spokespeople, representatives from the public and third sectors to be scrutinised by an invited audience of between 40-60 delegates and chaired by a professional facilitator.
To maximise attendance and minimise costs, morning briefings offer flexibility and allow for a 2.5 hour session with ample time for audience questions and participation.
Holyrood Briefing special report
The accompanying Holyrood Briefing special report would be written and commissioned by Holyrood magazine’s award-winning editorial team.
We have experienced journalists, with expertise not only in their own portfolio areas but on all matters related to the Scottish government. more critically, they have strong relationships with government ministers and an in-depth knowledge and unrivalled understanding of the areas they cover.
Holyrood Briefings ensure that all topics of political communication are covered by delivering a message through debate, within the more tangible product of a hard-copy format and by bringing core decision makers together in the same room.
Your Holyrood Briefing will be included in the issue of Holyrood magazine published prior to the live event. Both will be added to our website, and in e-format, for further distribution to your clients, in addition to you receiving 100 hard copies for your own use.
Logistics
Holyrood will manage all logistical preparations for the event including the sourcing and invitation of relevant speakers and chair, invites to and management of all attendees, catering, AV, and all other and editorial costs.

"Holyrood magazine is the talk of the parliamentary steamie, providing real insight into the business of good government and legislation in Scotland. It is indispensable reading for all who need to know about the policies and politics of Scotland's democracy." The Rt Hon Alex Salmond MSP First Minister
"I hate doing interviews with people and saying 'Oh, I really like your paper...', but what I like about Holyrood magazine is that you take that good old fashioned journalist approach and tell the reader what is happening and what is going on in a factual way, and the interviews that you do give a really deep flavour of the person behind the politics." Alastair Campbell Labour's king of spin
