Holyrood Climate Action Summit returns

Holyrood’s Climate Action Summit will be held at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh later this year.

Holyrood will once again partner with the Sustainable Scotland Network (SSN), and Edinburgh Climate Change Institute (ECCI) to explore on-the-ground solutions and innovations for public sector decarbonisation.

Across two days, the themes of leadership for success and funding will also be showcased through local and international case studies.

Last month, the Scottish Government was forced to scrap its 2030 climate target – to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 75 per cent – after it was deemed “unachievable” by the independent Climate Change Committee.

In what is set to be a decisive year for the future of net zero in Scotland, the Holyrood Climate Action Summit will return to Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh from the 1-2 October.

In light of a series of proposed policy measures announced by the Scottish Government, the summit will provide invaluable insights into how we can cut emissions in key sectors including agriculture, the built environment, energy, and transport.

Bringing together delegates and speakers from across the public, private and third sector, the summit is an unmissable opportunity for cross-sector collaboration, as Scotland looks ahead to becoming net zero by 2045.
